February Half Term at Taunton Library

We've teamed up with Somerset Libraries to offer some fun activities during February Half Term at Taunton Library. 

All Week

There will be a Bear Trail around Taunton Library for the whole week, free to take part with a small bear related prize for every completed entry. Just ask for a form at the library desk. 

Our team will also be there from 10am - 2pm Monday to Friday, helping run the Bear Trail and promoting our new touring book stand, filled with fostering related books you can loan from the library, including the recently published children's book 'The Little Red Dragon' written by Somerset Foster Carer, Emma Lloyd. You're also very welcome to chat to the team about fostering if you would like to know more or have any questions. 

Saturday 11th February 

Join us from 10am - 12pm for Switch Club and craft activities. We'll have some fun and free bear themed craft activities, and you'll also have an opportunity to win some 3D printed bears, as well as watch a rainbow bear being printed. You're also welcome to chat to us about fostering if you would like to know more.

Tuesday 14th Feb

Wednesday 15th February - Story Time
11am - 11.45am. 

Come along and enjoy a special 'story time' session with a bear theme - so please do bring along your favourite teddy bears to join in.

We will be reading Kind Mr Bear by Steve Smallman; a story about friends, caring and kindness. 
There will also be a cuddly Fostering In Somerset 'Theo Bear' to giveaway. 
This session is aimed at younger children and pre-schoolers.

Thursday 16th February - Toddler Time / Stay & Play
11am - 11.45am 

Singing and stories followed by a ‘Stay and Play’ with lots of toys and sensory objects! This is a special 'bear' themed session, with a cuddly Fostering In Somerset 'Theo Bear' to giveaway.

Friday 17th February- Baby Boogie
11am - 11.45am 

A special session with a bear theme and a cuddly Fostering In Somerset 'Theo Bear' to giveaway. Singing and rhymes aimed at children under 2. 

Saturday 18th February  - Lego Club
10am - 12.30pm. 

Build Lego and Duplo bears with us!
