This informal session is a great opportunity to learn more about foster care in a relaxed, friendly setting. No power point presentations and absolutely no pressure to take your interest any further – just a chance to find out more over a hot drink on a comfy sofa.
Though there will be a focus on fostering for Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children during the session, our team will be able to answer your questions and provide information on all different types of fostering, not just UASC fostering, including more flexible fostering roles such as occasional care - providing a home and support for a foster child less often, such as one weekend a month.
From basic requirements and payments, to training and application - you'll have an opportunity to find out everything you need to know, helping you gain a realistic insight in to the challenges and rewards of fostering.
Join us any time between 10am - 1pm on Monday 28th April at CHARIS Refugees Hub, The CHARIS Rooms, Hammet Street, Taunton TA1 1RZ and feel free to bring along friends and family. You don’t need to be there for the start time or for the whole session, but we’d recommend arriving no later than 12.30 am to allow adequate time.
