As part of Foster Care Fortnight, we’ll be running a number of online information sessions to highlight the need for more foster carers in Somerset, and provide useful information to anyone who may be interested in fostering themselves. There will also be an opportunity for those watching to type in and submit questions in real time to be answered by the presenter on screen.

The first session will take place on Wednesday 20th May at 2.30pm, and presented by Helen, one of our Assessing Social Workers. This session will aim to give a good introduction to fostering with Helen covering a variety of topics including the different types of fostering, basic requirements of foster carers, the children in our care, what happens after you make an enquiry and so on… .
