Meet the lady who has fostered more than 100 children in 40 years

Our very own foster carer Elaine Koerner is set to be rewarded in the New Years Honours List, after fostering more than 100 children in 40 years.

Elaine Koerner, from Yeovil, started fostering Somerset children but now takes in refugees from different countries.

Elaine is passionate about helping young people gain stability and achieve their potential..

She is now set to receive an MBE for her services to fostering Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) in Somerset.

Elaine has appeared on television and in much of the national and local press.

We are very excited to hear all about the big day! Watch this space…
