Help young people boost their savings with Step Ladder of Achievement

Do you care for a young person aged 15 to 17?
The Step Ladder of Achievement, provided by the Share Foundation, is a fantastic opportunity to help them prepare for independence and grow their savings.
By completing a series of practical workshops on:
- daily living skills,
- budgeting and money management,
- literacy and numeracy; and
- future planning,
they can earn up to £750 to add to their savings account. These sessions are designed to build confidence and essential life skills for adulthood.
How you as a foster carer can support
- Encourage participation – talk to your young person about the benefits
- Help with access – make sure they have time and resources to complete the workshops
- Celebrate progress – acknowledge each step they complete to keep motivation high
Why encourage them to join?
- Supports financial independence
- Builds practical skills for everyday life
- Rewards progress with real savings
